Rated 5 out of 5 by from Insinkerator is the BEST brand!! Works like a charm after 3 attempts by my plumber to install it correctly!! It shouldn't have been that hard for them to do!! Very happy with my new Insinkerator Badger 500!!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Replaced original Badger Original unit was 12-13 years old. When I returned after a month long trip it began to leak. Installation would be simple on a counter top but squeezing a 6’ 3” two-hundred plus frame in a 14” wide space under the sink was a challenge. I used a drop light to see what I was doing. Attaching the snap ring while supporting the unit was the hardest part. Once installed the unit worked flawlessly with no leaks. And much quieter than the original. I’ve ran it almost daily for more than a month and no problems.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from got a dud Installed per instructions, ran water into the sink, flipped the wall switch, and heard not a sound. Then discovered water slowly dripping from the bottom plate. Returned for a full refund. Not impressed with quality control or ease of installation.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Reliable This was a replacement for another brand product that quit working. I had prior experience with InSinkErator so I chose it again. I didn't feel like I could install it myself so I did hire someone to install it for me.

My less than year old Badger makes a humming sound when trying to use it. Even after that reset red button was pressed.

Asked by: Maryland
Sounds like something is stuck in there to make it humm.
