Rated 3 out of 5 by from Not as good as the last insinkerator We have had Insinkerator disposers for years and been very happy with them. This one seems much noisier and we are afraid to put much of anything in it. Whereas I used to be able to put at least small chicken bones in our others. Perhaps we should have jumped up to the next model level, but the cost differential was more than I wanted to put out at this time.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from diposal replacement My disposal quit working while still in it's 2 yr. warranty. I called Insinkerator warranty and she was very nice and had them send me a new replacement disposal . It was nice to see a company stand behind their product. I have always had insinkerator disposals . I will continue to purchase them when I need a new one.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Easy to install Bought a new one to replace same model that was installed about 5 years ago and had limited use. Mechanism had rusted out. Can design be improved using Stainless Steel components?

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Easy install. Nice and quiet. Wife very happy Checkout woman at Home Depot said she has 20 year old Badger still working fine. I installed mine on existing twist lock, using a bottle jack. Bada Bing! Happy wife, happy life.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Failed unit This is the second unit I've installed in 3 yrs. The previous one developed a leak which came through the motor and onto the cabinet floor, apparently from a seal failure. The only thing we put into this unit is soft food from the plate and NOT daily ? Is this the life of this unit, 3yrs?

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Badger 500 replaces 3-year old unit same brand Not sure what to recommend. The last badger did an excellent job, but lasted only three years with light use. The new one also does a good job.

My less than year old Badger makes a humming sound when trying to use it. Even after that reset red button was pressed.

Asked by: Maryland
Sounds like something is stuck in there to make it humm.
