Rated 5 out of 5 by from Order place and arrived on time I first ordered this product thru Amazon and it was sent on to another company to ship. I waited three weeks and it still had not arrived even tho I was charged for it. Call the company and was told it takes 3 weeks for your company to send it to them and they would send it to me as soon as they received it. So I ordered one directly thru you and received it within a few days. Plus no shipping charge and it was less expensive. I will continue to order this directly thru you. Thank you.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great idea Simple to install, automatically dispenses each time you use your disposal. If you have a septic system you should use this disposal unit with the bio cartridges that help feed good bacteria into your system.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Bio charge Delivery Very disappointed in the delivery of this product! FedEx set box by garage door and when my husband backed up he crushed all the bottles. Insinkerator would only replace one bottle out of five. I feel they need to ensure the delivery of the product!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome product!! I use this for my disposal because we are on a septic system. It's a great product. VERY hard to get locally. I wish that more stores would carry it. But I have found getting from the company itself is alot faster than trying to get a store to order it for me. Thanks for allowing me the access in getting this product directly!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great this is still available. Our disposal is 15 year old and we could no longer buy the Bio-Charge in the store. Actually we forgot it was there until the disposal clogged. InSinkErator sent out the replacement cartridges within days and everything is peachy.

We never had an issue with our pipes or septic field! Saves us from having to bag and carry to trash. We do compost, but not all items can go in the compost. Think you In sink erator

Answer:
Hi Camerontdy,

Your disposer has a solenoid that injects a small amount of biocharge into the chamber every time the disposer is turned on. The amount injected is approximately 1/3 teaspoon, so there are about 295 uses per bottle. This is a small amount and so, dependent upon how often the disposer is used, the level in the bottle may not appear to be dropping. You can check to be sure that the disposer is injecting the biocharge using the following steps:

1. Obtain a large (approximately 10 ¾” x 11) clean, dry, sheet of paper towel (preferably white).

2. Roll the paper towel into a cylinder and using a ruler, mark a line 4 1/2 inches from one end.

3. Insert the marked end paper towel through the quiet collar and into the chamber of the unit until the line is level with the top of the sink flange.

4. Do not put you hand into the chamber, simply hold the paper towel above the level of the sink flange.

5. Do not run water, but flip the switch on and off one time. You can simply turn it on and then off right away. There is no need to let the disposer run.

6. Pull out the paper towel and check to see if there is any blue residue. If there is blue residue on the paper towel, it would indicate that the solenoid is ejecting the Biocharge into the chamber. Properly discard paper towel taking care to avoid contact with the Biocharge residue on it. As indicated on the bottle, take care to avoid contact with eyes, open cuts or sores. In case of eye contact, flush with water for 15 minutes. Check with physician. Wash hands after contact.

If you need further assistance, please do not hesitate to contact us through [email protected] or call InSinkErator AnswerLine at 1 (800) 558-5700.

Sincerely,

Jerica

Answer:
Hi Ed111,

Yes, you may use another bacterial product like Rid-X for your septic system. In fact, there are additional advantages when you choose the Septic Assist Disposer with Bio-Charge if you use products similar to Rid-X. I have included below a link for additional information concerning our Septic Assist Disposer.
