Reviews / Q&A
Is it normal for the dispenser to dribble steaming hot water periodically throughout the day?
Hi, this is Jerica from InSinkErator® Customer Service. A rumbling or gurgling sound is perfectly normal and is simply the tank adjusting to maintain its set temperature. This sound will occur periodically throughout the heating cycle. A 2/3 gallon stainless steel tank has a heating cycle of approximately every 2 hours. Is the dispenser supposed to be hot to the touch when not in use?
Hi, this is Jerica from InSinkErator® Customer Service. The faucet assembly should not be hot. As for the hot water tank, it would be warm to the touch. As long as the tank is plugged in, it will maintain the temperature of the water based on the Thermostat setting so that the water will be near boiling when dispensed. For further inquiries, please do not hesitate to contact us through [email protected] or call InSinkErator AnswerLine at 1 (800) 558-5700. Thank you.
