No Hot Water
If there is no hot water coming from your dispenser, find out how to correct the issue.
- Upon initial install, the hot water tank takes about 15 minutes to reach target temperature. If you have set the thermostat to your desired temperature, allowed time, and still have no hot water, there are a couple of things you can check.
- Check the electrical connection.
Check that the hot water tank is connected to a properly grounded electric outlet and that the circuit breakers or fuses are in good order. Be sure that the outlet is not switched off. An easy way to test this is by unplugging the tank and plugging in a different small appliance to see if it works (such as a hair dryer). - For Duratank models only, your tank has a thermal cut-off feature that may have tripped.
Unplug the tank from the electrical outlet. Open the access panel on the front of the tank with a screwdriver. Locate the thermal cut-off button and press it to reset the switch. After replacing the access cover & screw and plugging it back in, allow 10-15 minutes for the water to reheat.
