Rated 4 out of 5 by from So far, it's great! This was a replacement for a different brand of Hot water dispenser that sprung a leak after 2 years. The Contour was easy to install and takes up little space in the cupboard under the sink. After a month of use, everything works wonderful. Probably would have a 10 star rating if it had a digital display of the temperature of water in tank rather than having to test temperature yourself after it comes out of tap.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good but noisy Very good unit - heats well and is consistent with no funny hot water taste. Only downfall is the unit is very noisy - constantly making a gurgling sound. This is my third unit - the first one lasted 6 years the last one catostropically failed after 5 years which isn't bad life and wouldn't concern me except that this last time the failure was a significant leak at the tank screw plug in the bottom. The leak damaged by undersink cabinet as well as the floor and ceiling below. The new version I purchased does not have this tank bolt which is a very good improvement.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from This product works beautifully and looks really nice...once it's in. Nice product overall. It spits/sputters HOT water when a large quantity of water has been dispensed at once, until it's back up to temp. It was also a BEAR to install. The installation instructions could DEFINITELY use improvement. IE; step-by-step instructions as well as a specific list of items to purchase from the hardware/plumbing supply store, or include them in the package. (I made 5 trips back and forth to the store before it was all finished). Once it was in....we are enjoying it. It was worth the hassle.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Maybe 2nd time it will work past 2 years This is the 3rd one. Thankfully the warranty covered the problem and they sent a new one. Only problem is I had to remove my plumbing and garbage disposer in order to get to the underside of the unit's faucet to remove and replace it and the warming unit. Hopefully they've fixed the problem this time with the new unit. In the past, they've worked fine for a couple of years, then clog up and water barely comes out when you turn it on. Otherwise, it's been a good unit for instant hot water.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Didn't know you needed it until you get it This is one of those products that you probably don't think you need (I can just heat up water in the microwave, you've thought). But once you get it you'll realize how convenient it is and you'll never want to go without again. There was one already installed in our house when we purchased it and we loved it. After 20 years we decided to replace it. We especially love it for tea or the quick single cup of coffee. A few years ago when we started thinking about getting a new one the price was still pretty high (around $600) but we got our new one for about $200 - a real no brainer.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great product As a builder I put these in all my homes,I've had (3)of these in my home in fourteen year and my wife uses them every day for tea and coffee. They work great. I would recommend this too all who asked.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Product performance 2nd one I had. First one lasted 8 years. If you replace an existing unit and use the existing faucet versus putting in a new one, it takes 5 minutes to install.

Will the faucet stay turned on if I let go of it such as when fillingl a large pot?

I read a review on Home Depot website that said the knob is very difficult to turn. Is this generally much of an issue ?
Asked by: drbackspin
No...the handle is spring-loaded. It's only on as long as you hold it on.

We installed an Invite Contour dispenser yesterday and the unit constantly drips and every few minutes erupts into a spray of hot water all over.

Is this unit defective? Thank you
Asked by: Clay
I had a different hot water dispenser that did this. It turns out that the temperature was set too high and the water in the unit was boiling creating steam pressure that caused venting through the tap. Try turning down the temperature on the unit and see if the problem disappears. The unit is designed to deliver hot water, not boiling water.

Fit

I have a "classic" model which is about 20 years old. Will the current contour or classic model fit the hole in my countertop?
Asked by: Anonymous
Yes, we had an old one and the new one went right into the hole of the replaced one! NO problem!

I installed the Invite Conture hot water dispdeser and after two+ hours the water is only slightly warm.

I tested the power source and it is working. I flushed out the tank with three gallons of water prior to plugging in the tank. I also have since moved the temp dial to max without noticing any difference. I bought this at Lowe's today 9-23-2014. I had a older model that I replaced with this new one. I believe the unit is bad and I should return it to Lowe's for an exchange! What do you think?
Asked by: Brett
Return it. Mine produced hot water right away.

Does this product require a disposable filter? I already have an undersink water filter connected to cold supply is this neccesary?

Asked by: dig1234
No, it does not require a filter.
