Rated 5 out of 5 by Blip from Its Replacing A Older Model. I purchased the instant hot, to replace an older model that stopped working. The installation was not to bad, but I had to go back to Home Depot to purchase the fitting and nut that goes to the water line. This model did not come with that. We are getting a funny kind of taste in the water, but in the manual it does say to flush it out a few times if needed. I have done that, and it seems to be getting better. Overall we are happy with the product.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Iohw from Great so far! Best on the market. Best Instant-on available. This newest model has only one temperature instead of two, which is fine. Goes great with other fixtures. We use it several times a day and not just for hot drinks. Not cheap, but worth the convenience. Great warranty replacement in the past, although they seem to now require an in-home company technician visit. If that time comes, I wonder if it will really be worth their while to send someone to remote areas? No user-serviceable parts. Wonder what the internal bladder is made of, hoping it’s stainless steel or glass.

Rated 2 out of 5 by nodrog from the product has built- in obsolecense We have had your product in two homes over the past 20 years and have had to replace them at least 6 times because they failed. Unfortunately it it too expensive to replace an entire sink but if another failure occurs we will eliminate them at both places. When it works it is handy.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Clarktoo66 from So far so good ! I’ve only had this new unit for a few months. This is my 3rd insta - hot and the first one lasted only 3 years and began leaking in the tank. The 2nd unit lasted 6 years and I replaced it pre- emptively before anticipated leaks occurred - didn’t want to push the envelope. Check back in several years for an update. I do not like a product that will leak and ruin my kitchen cabinet and so far it’s doing it’s job well .... time will tell!

Rated 5 out of 5 by liorbk from Not as hot as promised, but good enough for my needs. I normally call a plumber for stuff like this, but the home depot associate talked me into installing it myself, and glad he did. It was very simple and quick. I love having hot water on demand. Makes tea instant, instant (near) boiling water for cooking. One little issue I take here is the temp. The "default" setting of 200f gives water at 180f. When I cranked the dial up to the topmost settings it gives me water at 185-190. This definitely falls short of what was promised, but hot enough for my applications. I'd recommend this, but advise InSinkErator to revise their numbers on the box.

Rated 1 out of 5 by glloyd11 from Disappointed It's interesting that Insinkerator would like my opinion to the new hot water dispenser I bought to replace my old Insinkerator hot water dispenser that stopped working shortly after the warranty period. Especially so since I wrote to Insinkerator to complain and that complaint went unanswered but the new registration prompted the request for feedback perfectly. The absolute only reason I bought Insinkerator again was because the replacement installation was easy. I now have an additional spigot I paid for and don't need. If Insinkerator is going to build in obsolescence, the least they could do is sell the heating unit as a standalone product to save on some wasted and expense.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Joanie64 from A very good product This is the 3rd hot water faucet we have had in 17 years. Wish they'd last longer, but find I can't live with one.

Will the faucet stay turned on if I let go of it such as when fillingl a large pot?
I read a review on Home Depot website that said the knob is very difficult to turn. Is this generally much of an issue ?
No...the handle is spring-loaded. It's only on as long as you hold it on.

We installed an Invite Contour dispenser yesterday and the unit constantly drips and every few minutes erupts into a spray of hot water all over.
Is this unit defective? Thank you
I had a different hot water dispenser that did this. It turns out that the temperature was set too high and the water in the unit was boiling creating steam pressure that caused venting through the tap. Try turning down the temperature on the unit and see if the problem disappears. The unit is designed to deliver hot water, not boiling water.

I have a "classic" model which is about 20 years old. Will the current contour or classic model fit the hole in my countertop?
Yes, we had an old one and the new one went right into the hole of the replaced one! NO problem!

I installed the Invite Conture hot water dispdeser and after two+ hours the water is only slightly warm.
I tested the power source and it is working. I flushed out the tank with three gallons of water prior to plugging in the tank. I also have since moved the temp dial to max without noticing any difference. I bought this at Lowe's today 9-23-2014. I had a older model that I replaced with this new one. I believe the unit is bad and I should return it to Lowe's for an exchange! What do you think?
Return it. Mine produced hot water right away.

Does this product require a disposable filter? I already have an undersink water filter connected to cold supply is this neccesary?
No, it does not require a filter.
