Rated 4 out of 5 by Robert22 from Very nice appliance This was my fourth InSinkErator. My wife and I make several cups of tea every day. The InSinkErator eliminates the need to boil water every time. The problem is they only last four to five years. My last one was covered by warranty. It would be great if you could buy the water heater by itself, because the faucet never wears out. I have two brand new faucets that I don’t need because I had to buy a kit each time.

Rated 3 out of 5 by HandyG from Good but Noisy This is the 2nd one we've had in ten 10 yrs. The look and performance is really good which is the reason for our second purchase. Easy to install and has all the parts needed. Will probably look at other options when time to replace because of the noise level. Previous model did not do this...they just don't make them like they used to.

Rated 3 out of 5 by Kertnonprofitcustomer from Plastic parts are not replaceable The spigot handle broke off not long after purchase. I can't find parts to replace just the handle assembly so I have to buy a whole new unit to replace the cheap plastic part.

Rated 4 out of 5 by DavenK from A great addition to any kitchen--especially if you drink coffee or tea daily. This is the second unit I've purchased. The old tank (11 years old) finally went, so the answer was to buy a new one because they really work well.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Waste1 from Good customer support Heat element in our inSinkErator broke after 2 Years and customer service offered a pro rated discount on a new unit. This is our third unit in 10 years. Overall we are satisfied with this product. Hired a plumber for installation. Hopefully the newer models will last longer than the warranty period.

Rated 2 out of 5 by Randy2 from Too expensive not to be more reliable Heater elements burn out to quickly and are not reliable. I have installed 4 units in 12 years. The cost goes up and the quality goes down. I do not suggest this brand as reliable for the high cost. Thumbs down

Will the faucet stay turned on if I let go of it such as when fillingl a large pot?
I read a review on Home Depot website that said the knob is very difficult to turn. Is this generally much of an issue ?
No...the handle is spring-loaded. It's only on as long as you hold it on.

We installed an Invite Contour dispenser yesterday and the unit constantly drips and every few minutes erupts into a spray of hot water all over.
Is this unit defective? Thank you
I had a different hot water dispenser that did this. It turns out that the temperature was set too high and the water in the unit was boiling creating steam pressure that caused venting through the tap. Try turning down the temperature on the unit and see if the problem disappears. The unit is designed to deliver hot water, not boiling water.

I have a "classic" model which is about 20 years old. Will the current contour or classic model fit the hole in my countertop?
Yes, we had an old one and the new one went right into the hole of the replaced one! NO problem!

I installed the Invite Conture hot water dispdeser and after two+ hours the water is only slightly warm.
I tested the power source and it is working. I flushed out the tank with three gallons of water prior to plugging in the tank. I also have since moved the temp dial to max without noticing any difference. I bought this at Lowe's today 9-23-2014. I had a older model that I replaced with this new one. I believe the unit is bad and I should return it to Lowe's for an exchange! What do you think?
Return it. Mine produced hot water right away.

Does this product require a disposable filter? I already have an undersink water filter connected to cold supply is this neccesary?
No, it does not require a filter.
