Rated 4 out of 5 by from Performs as well as I expected it would This was a replacement for a 5 year old Insinkerator hot water dispenser and it appears, so far to be working welll. It is more attractive than the previous "spout". Time will tell, but I am hopeful for a longer life than the previous one. Have a plumber install it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Many years on the previous unit, but the temp got a little erratic and, I liked the style of the new ones The old unit replaced the one before it, and since it was getting older, and the temp control was getting a little goosey. Still worked, mind you, but having also seen the new models, the wife liked the styling better - so, we popped for the new one and are very pleased with the looks and the performance. Right off, after the easy install (DIY), the knob is easier to use, less spring load or something, and the flow is much smoother. You guys improved on the best!! Thanks!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Simple replacement of my third tank in 15 years for an Insta-Hot dispenser Tank was easy to install and ideally will last longer than its predecessors, which each failed due to leakage. The previous one only lasted three years! Also, the manufacturer no longer replaces a failed tank at no charge unless it is less than a year old, but gives the consumer a discount off their inflated direct-purchase price which actually brings the cost down to just a little less than these things are sold for in the real world. They also package it with a new faucet whether that's needed or not, so now I have a stored faucet which does not match the white one I have along with the other white sink fixtures. They no longer make them in white, nor do they sell the tank alone. So, to replace their tank with its repeatedly failed design I had to pay almost full retail price and that price had a built in amount for a non-matching faucet which I don't need. Oh yes, if you wish you can get a model which has the tank and their own water filtration system instead of a faucet, but you probable already have an adequate water filter ahead of the Insta-Hot, so again you are compelled to buy the tank with something else that's not needed. Replacement at no charge is only provided within the short, one year warranty and the tanks seem to be built to fail but not until a few years have passed. We'll see with this one, my third in 15 years. I am recommending it because despite the above comments, these nevertheless are rated high vs. competitors.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Can't live without it! This was a replacement for a previous unit. I use it often during the day. I enjoy a quick cup of tea or coffee with the instant hot water. It also hastens reheating leftovers with some hot water and a touch of of dry bouillon for taste.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Too early to tell. THE CHROME FIXTURE IS MORE ATTRACTIVE THAN THE LAST. If I must ENTER A REVIEW TEXT HERE IT IS. . Please see my review summary..

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Close installation. I wanted the one with a lever but it would not work with my sink. The sink has a close backboard. This one works well but it is a little hard to get my fingers between it and the backboard. It would be nice to be able to pull a handle to the side.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Works Great We love having instant hot water! Spoiled us in the first week of having it. We use it for Tea, Coffee and Oatmeal the most.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Insinkerator This new one my husband just installed must be our third or fourth hot water dispensers. We can do without them. Eventually after years of use, they start to leak around the base or drip. So, time for a new one. I like the design of our new one and with my arthritic right hand, the knob design is must easier to turn than our older models. Loving the new Insinkerator!

Will the faucet stay turned on if I let go of it such as when fillingl a large pot?

I read a review on Home Depot website that said the knob is very difficult to turn. Is this generally much of an issue ?
Asked by: drbackspin
No...the handle is spring-loaded. It's only on as long as you hold it on.

We installed an Invite Contour dispenser yesterday and the unit constantly drips and every few minutes erupts into a spray of hot water all over.

Is this unit defective? Thank you
Asked by: Clay
I had a different hot water dispenser that did this. It turns out that the temperature was set too high and the water in the unit was boiling creating steam pressure that caused venting through the tap. Try turning down the temperature on the unit and see if the problem disappears. The unit is designed to deliver hot water, not boiling water.

Fit

I have a "classic" model which is about 20 years old. Will the current contour or classic model fit the hole in my countertop?
Asked by: Anonymous
Yes, we had an old one and the new one went right into the hole of the replaced one! NO problem!

I installed the Invite Conture hot water dispdeser and after two+ hours the water is only slightly warm.

I tested the power source and it is working. I flushed out the tank with three gallons of water prior to plugging in the tank. I also have since moved the temp dial to max without noticing any difference. I bought this at Lowe's today 9-23-2014. I had a older model that I replaced with this new one. I believe the unit is bad and I should return it to Lowe's for an exchange! What do you think?
Asked by: Brett
Return it. Mine produced hot water right away.

Asked by: dig1234
No, it does not require a filter.
