Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent product, very dependable. I bought and installed this product to replace a previous insinkerator hot water dispenser that gave me over 15 years of trouble free operation. Very pleased with the performance and durability.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Nice looking hot water dispenser This unit replaced an older one that had failed, leaked and did not put out much water. This unit looks good. Only downside is that the copper tubing is too short. I had to join two pieces of copper tubing to reach the water outlet pipe. If the copper tube was a bit longer, it would have fit. Better to have a longer tube, that can be cut, then to have to make a joint union which could leak at some point if any of the compression ferules fail. I actually had a copper tubing cutter, but bet most homeowners dont. But for now, it is working fine.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Loud Noise when Heating This would be a great product, but it makes a noise like a jet engine when the heating element is working. No, it's not quite that loud, but it's audible enough to be annoying on the entire floor where the kitchen is, and the floor below.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Product has great features This is my second insinkerator, the 1st one gave up the ghost after 18 yrs. It's a great produce and I look forward to another 18 plus years of trouble free service.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Questionable pricing I needed to replace my existing tank only, because it was leaking. But I was surprised to find that a replacement tank cost about the same as a complete new unit. I bought this complete unit, but only installed the tank, choosing to continue to use the existing fixture. That saved a lot of install time, and now I have a backup fixture if ever needed. Good enough. But I still don’t understand the high price for a replacement tank only. I have the feeling that I spent significantly more than I should.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Insinkerator is a good product Like the product, disappointed in the PLASTIC. Some people mentioned plastic but I thought they meant the plastic tubes (water tubes). The item itself is plastic. I am concerned that the chrome appearing finish (this is NOT chrome, it is plastic with a shiny appearance of chrome) will rub or flake off. Very curious to see how long this lasts. This is expensive, but it was the lowest cost of the insinkerators so we thought we would try it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from THis hot water dispenser performs well and has a nice look. ThHis was installed in a short time by a plumber. The tank is much more stream-lined than the older model we replaced so it takes up less room under the sink. The faucet is a shiny chrome which looks very attractive in the kitchen. It is easy to turn on for the hot water. I am finding some many uses for it, such as to soften caked on food particles on dishesi and pots.

Can I buy this unit, the Invite Contour and use the tank only, with my faucet from the model SST that we have had for 8 years before it failed?

This faucet was the H-View SN-SS ( 1 handle version) . Will all hoses line up ? Please advise.
Asked by: BadgerPat
Yes, I just did exactly that. Tank only option is overpriced, so I bought a complete package and saved the fixture for the future.

Will the faucet stay turned on if I let go of it such as when fillingl a large pot?

I read a review on Home Depot website that said the knob is very difficult to turn. Is this generally much of an issue ?
Asked by: drbackspin
No...the handle is spring-loaded. It's only on as long as you hold it on.

We installed an Invite Contour dispenser yesterday and the unit constantly drips and every few minutes erupts into a spray of hot water all over.

Is this unit defective? Thank you
Asked by: Clay
Turn down the temperature control. The water is boiling and pressure builds up which cases the spray "all over".

Does the Contour need a 15 amp or 20 amp circuit?

Just wondering what is required for electrical service. 115V, but 15 or 20 amp? Thanks
Asked by: Rovinmoses
15 amps is ample. It draws around 6 amps, so should be able to share a 15 amp circuit with most appliances. Our dishwasher is rated 9 amps and shares OK with it, but that's pushing the limit.

Fit

I have a "classic" model which is about 20 years old. Will the current contour or classic model fit the hole in my countertop?
