Rated 5 out of 5 by from Involve Insta-hot We replaced a 10-year-old Insinkerator Insta-hot dispenser which had a failed thermostat. We use it every day, so it was difficult waiting for the replacement! The first thing I noticed was that this one is SO QUIET! I feared it wasn't working at first. Our old one growled when it was heating and we could hear it all over the house. This one can be heard only if standing next to the cabinet in which it's contained. What a nice surprise. As other reviewers have noted, the finish on the handle is very nice (much nicer than the one that came out). Our old hole was an inch and a quarter. This hole needs to be slightly larger. Our counter is butcher block so it was not a problem, but I don't know how you'd do it with a granite counter. You will need to provide the compression fitting to hook up the water. I must say it's really cheesy that Insinkerator can't include that fitting with the unit. It would cost them maybe ten cents? All in all, happy with the purchase. I hope this one lasts another 10 years at least!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Lack of style and pretty noisy I needed a low profile (short), contemporary instant hot water dispenser in satin finish. Apparently now that Insinkerator has cornered the market, contemporary and satin do not exist in the same universe. Since all my other faucets, appliances, and hardware are satin, I couldn't use the one and only slightly less fussy model, since it's only available in chrome. Sadly, the tank of this new system is plastic and must not be very well insulated, because it runs often (not related to use) and is much noisier than my old one. I'm not particularly happy with this purchase.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Much better than previous two dispensers I had purchased two base models from Lowes which failed within 2 months of purchase. This model was 50% more expensive, but it works!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Product performs well but could be more durable Product does what it should providing hot water on demand hot beverages or cleaning. However, unless it has been fixed in the latest models, the appliance has a built in weak spot that will severely shorten its life. This is a cheap plastic tube located inside the device that will become brittle and leak over time.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Instant hot water So nice to have instant hot water at your fingertips. Great for making tea, oatmeal, etc. No need to put the kettle on the stove or use the microwave. Love it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very happy thus far! This hot water dispenser is a replacement for the previous model. Lasted approx. 5 years, but I use it several times daily.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good product This was a warranty replacement. The first one died just before the warranty expired and the company replaced it without any problem. You can buy from Insinkerator with confidence - they stand behind their products.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Can't live without this Boiling water in a pot is not for me so when our instant hot insinkerator died we immediately had to purchase a new one. The design is a bit different but everything else is the same. The only reason I gave it a good instead of an excellent on ease of installation is because the area under our sink is very small and crowded and it makes it extremely difficult to install the insinkerator without having to disconnect the garbage disposal first and then install and put the garbage disposal back together. It's fine if you're familiar with how to do it, but that installation was not for a beginner. I had to hire a plumber to install it. But I couldn't live with boiling water on the stove etc., this has been a life saver on many occasions. Plus it's extremely sleek and modern looking.

Leaking from bottom of the unit

Can't tell exactly where leak is coming from but would like assistance in identifying and correcting the problem.
Asked by: DandY
Unfortunately this has been a recurring problem for me. If it is out of warranty you will need to replace the tank. Be sure keep a bucket underneath for the next time it starts leaking. You may also consider placing a leak detector alarm under the tank. They are fairly inexpensive and may notify you of the leak before serious damage occurs.

Do you sell replaccement parts for the H-Wave SS?

My plumber cut off the quick connect from the blue hose. Do you sell a replacement blue hose as it came originally in the box (with the quick connector installed)? Also, do you sell a replacement ferule and nut for the copper line, where it connects to my existing cold water? Thanks.
Asked by: Drymouth
Customer service will sell or replace the quick connect blue hose. Local hardware (or chain, or plumber supply) store sell the 3/8" ferrule and nut. suggest getting a spare set of the ferrule/nut, these are cheap and sometimes leak if not installed or tightened correctly.

Very slow dispensing hot water

I have a new H-wave and the water comes out very slowly it also drips a little while it heats up.
Asked by: Bj414
The water does not come out as fast as your main faucet but it should not come out too slow either and it should not drip

What are the three tubes made of that run from the tank to the faucet?

The tubes are blue, white, and clear.
Asked by: WWSusie
blue and clear are plastic. "white" is plastic where it connects to the tank (about 4 inches) then it becomes copper where it connects to your water source.
