Rated 4 out of 5 by from Versatile product I really enjoy my hot water dispenser. I thought it would be used occasionally but instead it is used daily to help with many kitchen chores and cooking needs. ‘Love it!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Service from Insinkereator could be better Purchased the first unit and installed it. The unit had a chemical taste and odor. I boiled water in microwave to compare. No smell or taste with microwave. I called the company they gave me a run around hesitating to replace. I went back on Amazon whom i purchased it from and they sent me a replacement with no problem.I did also purchase a filter just in case and this eliminated all problems. I had to pay $20.00 to return to Amazon I feel I should of been reimbursed. Great unit though this is my 5th over the years.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Superb in every way This Tap is boiling hot and it’s very tip. I have had units like this before and when they’re heating up they make enough noise to fill the room… This one makes a noise but it’s not nearly as intrusive. I love it in every way. Our installer put in an electrical switch so that when we go on vacation we can turn it off without having to crawl under the sink. That was a great bonus.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Nice faucet I’d give this five stars if I had ever had one last more than six years. That said, it is a wonderful convenience and I like this faucet style more than my old “lever” one.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Works well, but noisy. I replaced an insikerator instant hot with this new unit after 12 years of. It works well, provides plenty of hot water, but is noisy when heating the water and keeping it up to temp. We can hear the boiling in the room on the other side of the wall from the sink, and in the bedroom at the other end of the house as the vibrations from the unit travel through a common wall. Still like the product and would install again. hopefully the next unit will be quieter.

Unit is sputtering/spitting water when twisting delivery handle even with power disconnected. Is there any help available? Thank you
Asked by: Westcoaster
our old unit was doing that and we replaced it with a better stronger unit. Only the expensive ones work well.

How do you fix intermittent dripping from 1 yr old Classic Invite?

Dripping comes from the dispenser faucet. Sometimes it occurs after the unit has been turned off; other times, it occurs spontaneously. All solutions listed in the owner's manual for this problem have been tested by a plumber. None applies.
Asked by: Signe
Is the hot water tank pressure too high from the element. Unplug the heater element and see if the leak stops.

Invite Classic inetrchangeability

Can I replace my inoperative SST with an Invite Classic without having to re-plumb? Can I reuse my existing faucet? Can I use my Promo Code?
Asked by: GoatTalker
Most of these units use the same plumbing so it should work. That is generally true going back 15 years. Even the older plastic tanks used the same plumbing or close enough to work just fine. I do not work for them, but I have replaced several of these units over the years and only plumbed each of them one time. I did need to move the two mounting screws up/down a couple of inches once years ago to accommodate the newer SST tanks, but that was several generations ago. Depending on how yours was installed the copper line might need trimming, but generally it does not. Only when you change the dispenser has it needed to be re-adjusted length wise to fit your sink area.

i have a steam in hot 990w-3 in white would like to replace just dispenser

Asked by: lyndurand
Hi Lyndurand, This is Jim with InSinkErator. We no longer carry that style of faucet. Our closest match to the 990W is the Classic or Contour faucets in our bundled kits which include a tank. We do have standalone faucets but unfortunately that style is not available as a stand alone. I hope I have been able to answer your question. If you have any other questions, please feel free to contact our AnswerLine at 800-558-5700. Thank you.
