Your recommendation on how to connect two dishwashers to an Excel Disposer.

Asked by: Marcor44
Hi, this is Jerica from InSinkErator Customer Service. All InSinkErator disposers only have one dishwasher inlet. The InSinkErator Dishwasher Connector Kit is designed to be connected to only one dishwasher. We do not have any instruction or kits to connect our disposers to multiple dishwashers. If you have any other questions, please do not hesitate to contact us through [email protected] or call InSinkErator AnswerLine at 1 (800) 558-5700. Thank you.

does a connection kit for two dishwasher into one unit exist

Asked by: fbrace
Hi fbrace, This is Jim with InSinkErator. I do apologize but the dishwasher kit we offer will accomidate only one dishwasher connection to disposer. Also, I am unaware if such a kit exists from any other source. If you have any other questions, please feel free to contact our AnswerLine at 800-558-5700. Thank you.

Do I need this? Upgrading disposal from badger5 to evolution.

I currently have a badger5 hooked up to my dishwasher. I am replacing the badger5 with the evolution select 5/8hp. Is the dishwasher connection different between the badger5 and the evolution such that I would need this connector kit?
Asked by: goodblackdogs
Hi, this is Jerica from InSinkErator Customer Service. All InSinkErator disposers have the same size of dishwasher inlet. As long as your current dishwasher connector is still in good shape, then you can reuse it on your new Evolution disposer. If you have further questions, please do not hesitate to contact us through [email protected] or call InSinkErator AnswerLine at 1 (800) 558-5700. Thank you.

the dishwasher does not drain, it seems that the disposal flange is blocked

it seems to me that the flange from the disposal for the dishwasher is blocked. Is there a knockout that I should have done?
Asked by: bellaluna
Hi bellaluna, This is Belle from InSinkErator Customer Service. Your food waste disposer has a knock out plug in the dishwasher inlet tube. Please follow these steps to remove the knock out plug if you are connecting your disposer to your dishwasher: DISPOSER IS NOT INSTALLED: 1. Make sure that power is OFF to the disposer. 2. Position the disposer on its side, on a protected floor or workbench, with the dishwasher inlet tube facing up. 3. Using a flat-head screwdriver, insert it into the dishwasher inlet tube so as to set the tip on the molded outer edge of the plug located at the end of the tube. 4. Take a hammer and tap the screwdriver all the way around this edge until the plastic plug breaks loose and falls into the disposer grind chamber. 5. Be sure to retrieve the plastic knockout plug from inside the grind chamber. Making sure power is still OFF to the disposer, turn it upside down and shake it out or, as a second option, shine a flashlight into the chamber, locate the plastic knockout plug, and use a long tongs or pliers through the top opening to pinch it and pull it out. Do NOT place your hands inside the disposer. DISPOSER IS ALREADY INSTALLED: 1. Disconnect electrical power at the fuse box or circuit breaker box. 2. Remove the disposer from the sink per the instructions in your Installation Care and Use Manual. 3. Position the disposer on its side, on a protected floor or workbench, with the dishwasher inlet tube facing up. 4. Using a flat-head screwdriver, insert it into the dishwasher inlet tube so as to set the tip on the molded outer edge of the plug located at the end of the tube. 5. Take a hammer and tap the screwdriver all the way around this edge until the plastic plug breaks loose and falls into the disposer grind chamber. 6. 7. Reinstall the disposer per the instructions in your Installation Care and Use Manual I hope this helps. If you have any otrher questions, you may conatct the AnswerLine at 1-800-558-5700. Thank you.
