Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very Quiet I had it professionally installed but they were in and out in not time. When the water is running it is hard to hear the disposal running.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Quieter! I really like how quiet it is. I also like how it takes up less vertical space under the sink. Installs just like any other InSinkerator.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Unbeleivebly Quiet I replaced and upgraded the insinkerator disposal unit in my Kitchen with this Evolution Compact model just because I was doing a kitchen remodel. This model is extremely quiet and does not vibrate as the one I replaced. Insinkerator apparently improved all areas of the disposal unit from a much sturdier rubber drain grommet to the quiet near vibration free motor. Although you don't see the unit much being mounted under the sink it looks much cleaner and pleasing to the eye then past disposal units. My wife did not want me to replace the disposal but She is happy that I did and uses the new disposal much more then She ever did. Very easy to hook up and install did not take long to do so.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Had installed but stopped working after four months. We purchased this disposal for our complete kitchen remodel at our Truckee cabin about four months ago. This disposal is frozen and will not free up. I am a general contractor in the Bay Area so I know how to free up a disposal. This is bad unit and now I will have to spend my vacation time replacing this. I guess I will find out how good insinkerators warranty is. The problem is I will have to purchase a new one then install in Truckee and return the defective unit.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Insinkerator G disposal Had old version..lasted greater than 14 years. Figured a simple switch, given same manufacturer. Outlet pipe modified a smidgen, hence mandating a slight on the fly modification in order to fit..no big deal, but..why change anything???

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Easy to install & Very Quiet I had someone install it for me. They screwed up and I had to call insinkerator customer service. They were great and helped me solve the problem. I would recommend the product and the customer service.

What is considered a Small Bone that is OK to put in the Evolution Compact?

Hi, It says in your guide that small bones is recommended for use in the Evolution compact. Would all parts of the chicken classify as a small bone (Thigh Bone, Leg Bone, etc?) What about bones from Pork Chops, or Lamb Chops or Lamb Racks? Pork Baby Back Ribs? I would like to grind bones but want to make sure that I don't put something in that could damage or clog the machine. Thanks
Asked by: Zao154
No bones. Only edibles. If they don,t jam your machine they will certainly dull the cutting blades over time. No ice cubes or egg shells. This advice was from my plumber. He has replaced machines not very old from misuse. Save yourself the trouble.
