Rated 5 out of 5 by from Decent product at a fair price. Good unit. Last one, lasted a long time, so buying another was automatic.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Used Existing Insinkerator Rubber Gasket and Mount After struggling to use the new rubber anti splashback gasket provided with this new disposal I opted to use the existing one. My worn out failed disposal was a Insinkerator Badger Plus but its rubber anti splashback gasket remained serviceable. The new gasket was too thick to use without installing the new sink mount, too much trouble to do so. Once the decision was made to use the old gasket installation was easy. That said, I did use a scissors type auto jack topped with a flat board to hold up the new disposal to the mount; the disposal is heavy. The new unit works well as expected and is relatively quite..

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Quiet and Powerful I purchased the 5/8 hp Evolution Compact model. It replaced a 20+ year old disposal that was installed when the house was originally built. Installation of the new disposal was easy and without problems. Although advertised as a quiet model, I was surprised at how quiet it actually was. And 5/8 hp is more than enough power for typical household wet garbage.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This is the quietest waste disposed I have had in years. It took me about 2 hours to install. Although it is very easy, there a couple of little tricky things like installing the drain ring where the disposer will hang. Almost need 3 hands to do that. Once you get through the installation, you will be thrilled you bought it. I have not had any problems with the water draining, as others have commented. Very good purchase for the price.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Quiet operation Only had it for two weeks but love how quiet it is. I have a friend that’s a plumber and he recommended it. I’m glad I spent a little more for a better machine.

What is considered a Small Bone that is OK to put in the Evolution Compact?

Hi, It says in your guide that small bones is recommended for use in the Evolution compact. Would all parts of the chicken classify as a small bone (Thigh Bone, Leg Bone, etc?) What about bones from Pork Chops, or Lamb Chops or Lamb Racks? Pork Baby Back Ribs? I would like to grind bones but want to make sure that I don't put something in that could damage or clog the machine. Thanks
Asked by: Zao154
No bones. Only edibles. If they don,t jam your machine they will certainly dull the cutting blades over time. No ice cubes or egg shells. This advice was from my plumber. He has replaced machines not very old from misuse. Save yourself the trouble.
