Evolution Cover Control Plus Garbage Disposer-Without Cord is rated out of 5 by 520.
Rated 5 out of 5 by Lizrt from A very reliable, high quality product. It was very easy to install since we already had the previous model (model 17) which was discontinued. It's very quiet in comparison to the previous one. It works very well so far!

Rated 5 out of 5 by Chainsaw44 from Quiet and easy to install I used this model to replace a 17 year old Insinkerator when the mechanical switch went bad (it wouldn't turn off). I thought about trying to repair the switch on the old one but decided to pop for a new one instead. I called Insinkerator and the aide recommended this model as the replacement. Since I installed the first one, I was familiar with how to do it and my drain pipes and power source were already at hand, so installation was pretty quick. I like this model with the magnetic switch and it is quieter, too. It's not cheap, but the value is there.

Rated 4 out of 5 by bkfactor from Solid & Quiet Replaced and existing unit with a new one (same model) during some kitchen remodeling. Nothing wrong with the old one. Chose to do it while we things torn apart and the plumber was available. New one seems a bit quieter than the old one. Could be just age or you folks did some re-engineering.

Rated 5 out of 5 by XZYZ from a good purchase... Love the safety of this disposal. It won't turn on unless the cap is on tightly. It has loads of power too. Grinds up everything quickly without much noise.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Michael216 from Good quality history, new quiet style! I had to replace my 20+ year old model with a new one. This is much more quiet and seems like the same good quality grinder.

Does liquid pass through (newbie question)
Wondering if the chamber fills up with liquid (like, water) and device must be run to empty chamber, or if water and other liquids just pass through down the drain as they would in a normal drain.
I have the same issue. I finally took the thing out of the drain and lay it sideways. Ony way it will drain. I read the directiosn over and over and it says how to turn it to allow water to flow, but it done'st work for me. Water fills up in my sink.

My insinkerator will not turn off? I had to turn the breaker off and when I turn the breaker back on, the disposal runs. The stopper is not in.
My wife could not get to run with magnetic stopper in, she hit the reset button underneath and still nothing. She quit trying and walked away, scary thing is than it all of a sudden started to run. Only way to stop it was turn off breaker. We just bought our house 2 months ago but not sure how old unit is.
My old (12+ years) batch feed Insinkerator had a similar problem. I tried buying a replacement cover control, thinking that the magnetic connection had deteriorated, but the replacement cover didn't work either. Ended up buying a full new disposer. The new unit is quiet and works great.

my brand new machine is not working
I have pushed the reset button, and flipped the fuse in the basement. It makes a low noise, so I know it is plugged in, but it does not drain or grind. How else can I reset it?
obviously jammed. use the wrench to free the unit and then try again.

Need a new magnetic coverstart switch.
The black cover over the magnetics have broken/worn away and the device is VERY difficult to turn. The unit is approx 5 years old. Where can I purchase a new one?
I bought mine at Lowe's. You maybe able to order from Lowe's website as well.
