Rated 5 out of 5 by from Easy Replacement I replaced an existing septic disposal. This was very easy to do and was amazed at how much quieter the new one was. I was not even sure if it was working because it was so quiet.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Nice unit Very quiet compared to any other disposal I've had. It's very nice that the rubber throat guard comes out easily so I can clean the underside. However it also seems to block the free flow into the grind chamber more than I would expect. Even water seems to have a hard time going through sometimes. And it's not because the grind chamber is full. A small matter.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Makes hardly any noise Works good and it's so quiet, I'm sometimes not even sure it's on!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from septic feature was the selling point. we don't use the garbage disposal an excessive amount because we do have septic. However it is quiet and powerful enough to get the job done.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent Upgrade I have a septic system and was glad to find a model suited to my needs. This unit replaced a much smaller one that the builder installed. Installation was pretty standard. Be sure you have enough room for it. It was much larger in diameter than my old one. It is very quiet.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Would definitely recommend Purchased as a replacement for a previous model that served us well for 15 years. There was no question that we would replace with another Insinkerator. The new one is extraodrinarily quiet with very little vibration. Bravo! Quality and dependability are key to our decision to stay with Insinkerator.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from The Good, The Bad & The Ugly The Good: Ease of installation & rock-solid mounting. The Bad: Mine is noisy - motor is relatively quiet for size, but it really chatters - sometimes sounds like pieces of metal are bouncing off the walls - even when empty & just running water. I shut down and examine - but find nothing inside. The Ugly: It is big & brawny, but ugly is good when it comes to tough jobs for septic system peak performance.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Stopped working after 3 weeks. This unit replaced a one that came with the house we bought. It was about 5 1/2 years old when it stopped dispensing the chemical. The replacement was installed about 3 weeks ago and worked fine for 2 1/2 weeks then stopped dispensing the chemical. I have no choice but to replace it again as I have a septic system

Why does the Bio-Charge bottle keep falling out?

Asked by: Donna9093
Make sure the bottle tip has been turned and it will pop up. Then it should click securely to the unit.

Does the product come with an initial bottle of the septic assist liquid?

Just had local Lowes install my new Insinkerator this week and tonight, when the disposal wouldn't work (the pneumatic tube from the sink button had disconnected) I discovered there was no bottle of septic liquid attached. Should the unit have come with one?

friend has a brand new one of this model but didnt use it. Can I use it .. I don't have septic.

I don't have septic. I am on city but I need a new unit, would like to have that USA made Insinkerator .....Can I use this???
Asked by: poodog
Sure you can but you don't need it. This unit has an enzyme tank that injects into the disposal to help septic systems. It is more expensive than a conventional unit.
