HOT150 Instant Hot Water Dispenser Chrome is rated out of 5 by 17.
Rated 4 out of 5 by Bartman2 from Instant hot water is awesome I've had 3 of these units now (all different models) at a couple different homes and they work well and provide instant hot water right from the sink. However, they have only lasted about 5 years for me, which isn't too bad. Perhaps if I had better water or I used a filter, they'd last longer. I would recommend you make sure you're getting one with a stainless steel tank. Those seem to last a little longer.

Rated 4 out of 5 by FactChecker from Nice Product With a 3 Year Life This is a good product with a 3 year or so life. Then it will leak. If you use soft water you'll get a longer life. If this were a household water heater, three years would be totally unacceptable. This product should be engineered to last longer! Our unit took several seconds to dispense, but the water is always hot. It also tends to sputter. It is now turned off as it leaked. Not sure if Home Depot units are the same quality, but I would buy the higher end unit from a plumbing supply house. This one came from such a place and it lasted longer than the prior one from HD.

Rated 5 out of 5 by amelia1812 from Great product but problem with leaking Purchase the EH1 – 2 model several years ago. Worked perfect but then started leaking. I heard it bubbling now and then and believe temperature was a little too high. Contacted incinerator and person ,I believe her name was Chaz, was very helpful. Was going to order through home depot but they were unable to answer some important questions. Ordered the hot 150 model on web after talking to Insinkerater. Wife will be very happy. One of the best kitchen accessories ever.

Rated 4 out of 5 by JOHN1250 from GREAT PRODUCT BUT STARTED LEAKING IN 3 YEARS. Great product until it started leaking in three years. However my wife could not live without it so for Christmas 2017 I ordered her a new one. The new one looks improved with a better case in the pictures. Had trouble making sure it was brushed nickel. All the advertisements look like it will be chrome!!. InSinkerator should improve the advertisement description. and place brushed nickel and chrome in the description the HOT150. I hope my order from Home Depot is for the brushed nickel. Also, I heard the previous dispenser occasionally sound like bubbling. I recommend turning down the temp whenever this occurs. Maybe that contributed to the leaking?

Rated 1 out of 5 by florida2017 from New tank every 5 years In my experience the tank needs replacing every 5 years. The cost of a new tank plus the plumber's charge every 5 years is an investment I am no longer willing to incur. Don't understand why they can't make a longer lasting product?

Rated 5 out of 5 by GaryDaplumber from Easiest to use model and very handy. Good looking and one of the best models for usability. Push button and round handle models are too hard to use. Use mine most for cleaning. Also handi for Romin noodles, hot chocolate, tea, and other things requiring very hot or boiling water.

Is the satin nickel like a stainless steel color?
I have a stainless steel regular faucet and appliances that I'd like to match. Or would chrome be better? I have a chrome insinkerator now and I think it's too shiny. I don't like the way it looks with the regular faucet.
