Rated 5 out of 5 by from Works great like the 21-year-old same model we replaced! The original Insinkerator in this home was the same model. It lasted 21 years! For our needs, the 1/3 HP model works well, and I will be happy if we get even half as many years out of this one.

the motor is running but the system is draining slowly and not completely, there does not appear to be any food jamming

Asked by: mailman
Use a long celery stalk to see if the blades are actually turning. If they are not turning, the shaft is broken. Replacement required. If they are turning the out line is clogged probably at the goose neck. Pull the pipes and check.
