Involve HC-Wave - Chrome is rated out of 5 by 89.
Rated 4 out of 5 by PRM3 from The product is easy to use. My only complaint is that the difference in price between the brushed nickel version and the chrome version is too high. We would have preferred the brushed nickel but we didn't want to spend an additional $100.

Rated 5 out of 5 by MitchS from Easy to install and works perfectly Had a miserable experience with Little Butler and Quick and Hot. Ordered 2 tanks and both leaked. Customer service came up with a cockamamie excuse the water lines must be perfectly straight. Crazy! Insinkerator was one and done. No worry about attachments or equipment. Water is hot, installs easy, and fixtures looks great! Very happy with product.

Rated 5 out of 5 by ReedO from Third Instant Hot we have owned We owned our first one in the San Francisco area for years. Then we moved to Arizona 8 years ago and installed this one. We loved the fact that it comes with both hot and cold handles. We have a Reverse Osmosis and run the water through both hot and cold. Our last one lasted 8 years until it sprung a leak. This one was easy to install since we didn't replace the faucet - we just unplugged the tubing and reattached these to the new one. If you need to install the faucet and if you do not have the physical or mental know how (I'm 68 years old) I recommend having a qualified plumber install it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by LLL2011 from love the instant hot water During the cooler months, I LOVE being able to have hot water for tea and oatmeal at my fingertips. During the warmer months, when I rarely have hot drinks, I turn the temperature as far down as possible.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Michael33 from Great product, just like the insinkerator it replaced We updated our kitchen sink faucet and hot water heater when we remodeled the kitchen. We loved the previous hot water heater and our love continues with this one. We will not be without one for the rest of our lives.

Rated 5 out of 5 by TomPhilly from Great Product Very happy with the HC-wave. Does not take up much counter-top space and delivers hot or cold water instantly. Product is a little expensive so that assuming it lasts as long as your typical water heater, I would recommend. We have only had it for 2 months.

Rated 2 out of 5 by drplastic from Plan on spending $300-$500 every 2-3 years The Involve HC Hot/Cool Instant Water Dispenser appears to have a 2-3 year life expectancy. I set aside $150 a year in anticipation that I will be replacing the unit in that time frame. What about the warranty? The warranty only works once. The first unit I had died after a year. The second was replaced free of charge, but I did have to pay to have the old unit removed and the new unit installed. The second unit died after 1 year and 8 months. I contacted InSinkErator's Customer Service. InSinkErator keeps excellent records. Based upon the second unit's serial number, they knew about the first unit dying and that the second unit was a free under-warranty replacement. Because I had already gotten a replacement for the first unit and even though the second unit had died in less that 2 years, I was not eligible for a replacement. In a little more than 3 year time period, I've gone through 3 units and have spent about $1000 for hot water: ~$300 for the first unit, ~$150 for the installation of the first unit, ~$300 for the current unit, $210 for the installation of the current unit,

How Long Does it take the Water tank to heat the water to 200 degrees.?
If I were to Leave the unit off, once I turn it on (rarely used outdoor Bathroom); 1) How many degrees/minute does it take to heat to 200 degrees?, 2) If outside temp. is 90 degrees, how long will it take the tank to heat to 200 degrees?, 3) If outside temp. is 72 degrees, , how long will it take the tank to heat to 200 degrees.?, 4) If Outside temp. is 45 degrees , how long will it take the tank to heat to 200 degrees? Regards, Joe H.
I think you can find that in its manual handbook as I have seen it before. It is very rapidly heating up (actually, it preheat inside the box before you turn the faucet on) so It came out extremely hot water within 1 to 2 seconds regardless the cold water temperature incoming from your house. Hope this helps.

With the View and Wave models, does the cold handle stay on until you take your hand off handle, or is it spring-loaded (like the older models)?
Ours does not.

Can I plug it into an automatic timer rated for 750 watts so it doesn't get power at night in order to be silent while sleeping?
I have never heard any noise from mine!
